The Historical Crisis Committee (HCC) is not your typical Committee. It’s fast-paced and innovative, while challenging delegates to rethink history. As a crisis committee, the HCC at PACMUN has a completely different set of rules of procedure and solutions don’t come in the form of resolutions. Instead, the HCC uses directives and allows the delegates to create their own paths. History may have already taken its course, but in HCC, history can be remade.

Position Papers are mandatory, and must be turned in to the dais by 11:59PM on Nov 5, 2017. The dais’ e-mail address is Late position papers will not be considered for an award unless an extension has been requested by the delegate and approved by the dais at least 24 hours in advance.

Further questions or inquiries can be directed to the dais at

Christine Lee

Christine is a junior at Tesla STEM High School and is so excited to staff for PACMUN 2017! She has attended over 5 conferences and has previously staffed at EDUMUN and KINGMUN. When she’s not sucked into the black hole of doing MUN, she loves to watch and fangirl over k-dramas and k-pop. Christine loves history and learning about the big wide world, but more than anything, she’s super excited to meet all of the delegates of the Historic Crisis Committee!

Kenneth Hayward

Crisis Director

Kenneth Hayward is a Junior at Bellarmine Preparatory School in Tacoma. He has attended 7 conferences, and staffed 1 middle school conference. When not trying to blow up the moon in Model UN, he's either napping in wildly unconventional places, or baking another round of cookies. He's definitely looking forward to working with all the delegates and shouting angry words in French!

Thrisha Mohan

Thrisha Mohan is a junior at International School Bellevue. She has attended over 8 conferences, however has never staffed a committee before and is very excited to have that first opportunity in the Historical Crisis Committee. While she is not crying over her never-ending amounts of homework, Thrisha pours her time into watching Crash Course Government videos and making instructional MUN powerpoints for new delegates. Thrisha has always had a passion for history and is excited to welcome all of our delegates to HCC 2017!

Vidha Sudhesh

Directive Manager

Vidha Sudhesh is a Senior at Nikola Tesla STEM High School. She will be Directive Manager of HCC for PACMUN 2017. This will be her second time staffing and she is beyond excited for the committee session to come. Vidha has been a part of MUN for four years and an officer for three years. Her favorite part about MUN is the analytical thinking put to test during debate and forming a well thought out resolution over the course of sessions. Besides MUN, she loves studying biology, being a member of Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) and watching conspiracy theory documentaries on Netflix. Vidha is very excited to work with all delegates at PACMUN 2017.
