The Group of Twenty (G20) is a group of 19 of the world’s largest economies along with the European Union (EU). Members of the G20 control 85% of the gross world product (GWP), 80% of global trade, and two-thirds of the world’s population. Founded in 1999, the G20 serves as an international forum for high-level discussion of policy issues relating to international financial security and economic cooperation. It also works towards stimulating and expanding developing economies and facilitating global trade. With the G20 growing in stature, it has begun to address global situations as a whole as well. Summits are held annually, with the most recent summits being in Hangzhou in 2016, and in 2017 in Hamburg, Germany. The most powerful heads of state gather at these summits and a communiqué (resolution) is passed to address critical global issues.

Manoj Simha

Manoj Simha is a rising senior at Interlake High School and Director of Marketing of Interlake’s Model U.N. Chapter. He has attended six conferences over his two years in MUN, and staffed two, as well. Amidst debate, DECA and school leadership, Manoj fell in love with MUN above all. The spirit of diplomacy and student leadership are two things he grew to embrace and hopes to instill at PACMUN 2017. In his freetime, Manoj likes to watch classic movies and guitar. He is incredibly excited to lead a productive and engaging conference in the G20, the same committee he attended at his first PACMUN!

Anushka Ladha

Anushka Ladha is a senior at Redmond High School and Vice President of RHS Model UN. She joined Model UN her sophomore year and it quickly grew to be her favorite extracurricular activity due to the perfect combination of research and debate. Anushka has attended 6 conferences as a delegate, is Director-General at Redmond High School’s conference, REDMUN, and is also a staff member for EDUMUN 2017. Other than MUN, Anushka likes to do Speech and Debate, edit for her school newspaper, drink unholy amounts of bubble tea, and take long naps. She is so excited for PACMUN 2017, and hopes to make the G20 Committee an incredible experience!

Ali Lo

Assistant Director

Ali Lo is currently a senior at Bellarmine College Preparatory School. This is Ali’s first time staffing a conference and she could not be more excited that it is PACMUN as it is the first conference that she attended. Outside of MUN, she is involved in her school’s marine chemistry program, the Nordstrom Fashion Ambassador Program, and Nativity House. Additionally, she is the president of Bellarmine’s Honor Society chapter and the editor of the school newspaper. In her free time, she enjoys watching Criminal Minds, scuba diving, taking long naps, backing, spending time with her family, and re-reading Harry Potter. (Go Slytherin!) She is thrilled for PACMUN 2017!
